We’d like to introduce the AMAZING culinary artist behind it all!

JIM VIDO,  Executive Chef

Previously, Chef Jim ran P.H.A.T. Daddy’s kitchen in Marengo, then owned and operated The Ladora Bank Bistro which was named one of the “100 Best Restaurants in America” by US Weekly in 2019. With rave reviews like “Best Small Town Restaurant in Iowa” by Thrilllist, a feature in IA Magazine, recognition in Midwest Living Magazine, and numerous articles/write-ups/features, it’s obvious Chef Jim has some serious talent in the kitchen and we’re overjoyed to have him whipping up delicious creations at Hotel Millwright.

Fun facts: Chef Jim was born and raised in the Cleveland, OH area and moved to Iowa in 2001. He earned his AAS in Culinary Arts from Kirkwood Community College. Chef Jim and his wife of 10 years, Holly, have two children, Caden and Annalee and a dog named Rudy.

Chef
